Lingua Franca: The Resistance Series

Around the same time of the nationwide women’s strike last spring, the sustainable cashmere brand, Lingua Franca released a collection of knits, all hand-stitched by women in New York City. To celebrate their Resistance Series line, the brand tapped acclaimed photographer Pamela Hanson to film the campaign and LUCY’s Charlie Klarsfeld to create the accompanying music. The resulting video features 23 different women, from doctors to journalists, each wearing Lingua Franca sweaters embroidered with phrases like “Nevertheless she persisted” and “Solidarity.”

The rainbow colored knits are a fun way to unite like-minded women at a time when female rights and issues are at the center of debate. Plus half of the proceeds are donated to a charity of the shopper’s choice. Order yours now at: linguafranca.nyc
