Charlie Klarsfeld is a producer and DJ based in Brooklyn, NY. In his early years as a musician, he was a member of several bands including The Breaks, The Hysterics, and his own, The Americans, all of which received critical acclaim. As the music industry began to shift, Klarsfeld decided to embark on solo projects, and has since become an ambassador for classic NY open-format style DJing, booked internationally by clients such as Vogue, Glossier, Hugo Boss, and W Magazine. As a producer Klarsfeld has credits on the latest release by English indie-pop act The Vaccines, and co-wrote/co-produced the greater part of 222 EP, the freshmen effort by EDM wünderkind Branchez. In 2016 Charlie headlined the 932 Club at Sweetlife Festival, sharing the bill with The 1975, Blondie, and Grimes.
In addition to his producing, Klarsfeld has composed music for a number of high profile beauty campaigns, including Tom Ford, Shiseido, MAC Cosmetics, and a short film for Barney’s directed by Bruce Weber. Klarsfeld founded the sound and music collective LUCY in 2016, creating a new business model for collaborating with fashion and media companies. His first film-scoring debut, The Brits Are Coming, directed James Oakley, and starring Uma Thurman and Tim Roth, is slated for release in 2018.
